Last Friday, I went on a field trip with my daughter’s special needs unit at her school. We went to Diamond D Ranch to see all the farm animals. Being from Kentucky and having been around farm animals all my life, I knew what to expect. However, I did not know that I would be paying for that trip all weekend! 
 
I have lived in Florida for almost ten years now. So I am well aware of the strange creatures that inhabit this area….But I was not aware of the vicious, evil bugs from Hades! 
 
I got totally ate up at that stupid farm!! It ruined my weekend. I was (and still am) in so much pain! I have never had bugs bites hurt and itch this bad. My legs swelled up and turned red…..they felt like they were on fire! It was difficult for me to even walk. I could not sleep all weekend. Yesterday, I had a hideous headache. It felt like my head was going to explode. I was scared that I had caught something bad from those bugs and my brain was swelling, LOL. I guess I get too freaked out too easily. 
 
 I do feel better today but it still itches and I am sure that the bites will show for some time now. I tried not to scratch too much but it was hard not to. 
 
So, lesson learned…..never visit another farm in Florida again! I do not know what was lurking out there but it sure got me good!
