Gumballs.com – The #1 Bulk Vending Supplies Store on the Internet!
Do your kids drive you crazy when you take them to the mall or any store that has vending machines? I know mine do and I can’t really blame them….I always loved vending machines when I was little. To tell you the truth, they still catch my eye every time I see one…especially the gumball machines.
I was recently given the opportunity to try out the Petite Carousel Gumball Machine by Gumballs.com. I knew it was coming but I didn’t tell the kids about it. I wanted it to be a surprise and boy was it ever a surprise! My daughter just about flipped over it. My son likes it too but my daughter is totally in love with it. It is the perfect size that can easily set in a child’s room. What fun to have your own gumball machine in your room!!
The awesome thing about the gumball machine is you can use other things in it such as M&Ms plain/peanut, Reece’s Pieces, Skittles, Mike & Ike’s, Hot Tamales or Skittles. The petite also can dispense bulk nuts or other smaller bulk candy such as jelly beans.
In my opinion, the Petite Carousel Gumball Machine makes a perfect gift for anyone young or young at heart!
The original Petite Carousel Mini Gumball Machine is a mini version of the classic gumball machine that set the standard for bubble gum machines when they were first introduced in the 1920′s – almost 90 years ago. This brand new mini antique gumball machine is guaranteed authentic made by Carousel/Ford Gum Machine. Don’t settle for cheap imitations!
At 9” tall, this cute little gumball machine is perfect for kids, home, office or dorm room use because it can easily fit on a desk or counter top. It’s also a very popular wedding favor gumball machine used for center-pieces or candy bar accents. Kids love it because it’s a mini gumball machine bank that helps teach how to save money. Kids of all ages love to put a coin in and guess which color they’ll get!
Petite Carousel Mini Gumball Machine Features:

If your children love books, there is a series of books called Howard B. Wigglebottom that I recommend checking into. These books are created by the We Do Listen foundation with the intention of enabling children to feel good about themselves, enjoy inner peace, and communicate in a more effective way.
Howard B. Wigglebottom is an adorable little rabbit that deals with difficult situations and learns valuable life lessons such as telling the truth, how to fit in, and how to deal with bullies. Each book is geared at a specific topic that many children face in everyday life.
The We Do Listen Foundation is a group of writers, artists, designers, educators, therapists, parents, and teachers who share a vision of a kinder world with more harmony and peace and a better life for everyone to enjoy.
Children can enjoy all the animated books for free at the We Do Listen foundation website. They can also enjoy songs, games, and coloring pages at the website as well.
We were sent an autographed copy of Howard B. Wigglebottom and the monkey on his back; A tale about telling the truth. In this book, Howard B. Wigglebottom, is beginning to feel terrible about all the lies that he has told and it is beginning to feel like a monkey is growing bigger and bigger on his back. He feels so bad and has so much weight on his back that he decides to tell his father the truth. Once he tells his father the truth, the monkey begins to shrink. Howard comes clean with all his lies until finally the monkey is completely gone and it feels good to have all that weight off of him. Howard learns that he never wants to have the weight of that monkey on his back again and it is always best to tell the truth.
I loved this book and my daughter and I have enjoyed looking at all the other animated books on the We Do Listen Website.

As some of you may know, my nine year old daughter has Autism. When I first found out she had Autism, she was three years old and I was of course devastated! She didn’t talk much, only a few words. We began immediately to seek any early intervention that we could. We enrolled her in pre-school for children with special needs and we also put her in private speech sessions. Over the years, her vocabulary has increased a great deal but she still doesn’t speak like she should. Most of her sentences are missing a word or two but I see improvement in her language skills often.
One of the things my daughter loves is books! I am always looking for new books for her, so one day I came across Books by Tara. Tara’s books promote awareness, thinking, and language development. Books by Tara were created by Tara McClintick, a married Ohio mom of two boys and a Early Childhood Special Education teacher. You can read more about Tara HERE.
After speaking with Tara, we were given the Opportunity to Choose a book of our own. Since my daughter loves Halloween so much, I chose the Jack-O-Lantern book for her. I am sure I chose the right one….Kelsey loves this book. After I helped her read it the first time, she can read the whole book by herself and she does it very well. She is very proud of herself for being able to read it with no help. I must say, I am very proud of her too! She also loves the big pictures that are on every page.

My Daughter loves Winnie the Pooh! She is nine years old and loves him just as much today as she did when she was a toddler….. But who doesn’t love that silly ole bear stuffed with fluff?? Every time we go to Disney World, we have to ride the Pooh Bear ride at least six times, LOL.When we are not at the Magic Kingdom, she must watch all her Pooh Bear movies on DVD. I think she owns them all except the new one that was just released on Oct. 25th. My daughter has Autism, so she is not even aware that this new movie was just released. If she knew, I’m sure we would already own it. In the meantime, I am trying to win her one from Lisa over at Mom’s Misc Adventures! If you would like to try to win as well, head over to Lisa’s Blog: Mom’s Misc. Adventures and enter to win!
Return to the Hundred Acre Wood, for the latest adventure featuring the world’s beloved bear, Winnie The Pooh! Recently I was given the chance to review the MobiCam Digital DL Wireless Audio/Video Monitoring System from Mobi Technologies and I have to say that I absolutely love this product!! I am a mom of four, three boys and a girl, and I have always used a monitor with each of my kids. My two oldest are grown and I always wished that I had a monitor that had a video view but I didn’t until now.
My kids are not babies anymore but I still have a need for a monitoring system. My youngest daughter is nine years old and has Autism. I have used a monitor with her for years but there is only so much that you can monitor with just hearing them….I want to be able to see her! Not only at night while she is sleeping but also during the day.
If you are familiar with Autism, then you are more than likely familiar with Stimming. ”Stimming” is repetitive stereotypic behavior commonly found in autism, but also found in other developmental disabilities. Stimming is almost always a symptom of Autism. In some cases, Stimming should be redirected but in other cases it can help to manage anxiety, fear, anger, and other negative emotions. You can learn more about stimming here.
My daughter stims everyday. I do not try to redirect her because I feel that this helps her manage anxiety and helps her cope with everyday life. I do however like to monitor her while she is “stimming” to make sure that she is not doing anything to hurt herself. When she is in her Stimming mode, she does not like to be bothered or even looked at. So I have found the perfect solution for both of us: The MobiCam Digital DL Audio/Video Monitoring system. Using this device allows her to do her stimming and allows me to monitor her without her knowing.
The MobiCam Monitoring system is not just for parents with infants. It is very beneficial in many situations such as monitoring young children, pets, or the elderly. Additionally it can also be used for household security or as an office or warehouse surveillance system. I must say that I am very impressed with the picture quality!
