The Smurfs Dance Party Game for Wii is here! Yay! I love the smurfs….the smurfs and I go way back. I think I was in about the 5th grade when they were popular (guess I shouldn’t tell me age) I had a huge collection of smurfs. I even had the Smurfs’ mushroom house, Smurfs stuffed animals, Smurfs nightgown, and jewelry.  In fact, I still have all of it tucked away in my attic.

So when I heard there was a Smurfs movie coming out, I was thrilled.  I knew immediately there would most definitely be a Smurfs game for Wii as well. I was right….Unisoft has given us The Smurfs Dance Party Game for Wii.  So when I was asked if I would like to review it, I jumped at the chance! I couldn’t wait for it to arrive.

The Smurfs Dance Party for Wii is based on the new Smurfs movie. It has seven characters: Papa, Smurfette, Clumsy, Brainy, Gutsy, Grouchy, and Gargamel.  It includes hit songs like One of the Boys by Katy Perry, Blame it on the Rain, Boom-Shak-A-Lak and More. My personal favorite is “I wanna dance with somebody”

The main menu offers:

Dance: Simply choose a song you want to dance to and get right into the game. You can also select different game modes.

Story: Join the Smurf’s’ adventures from their village to New York City and back. Dance to the Smurfy music as the story unfolds.

Playlists: Choose a present playlist or put together a playlist all your own.

Parents: Change the game options and track your child’s progression. Check the adwards section to view the figurines unlocked by playing and dancing through the songs.

Yes, it could have been better but I will have to work on it. I like this game because there’s a lot of movement involved which provides great exercise for me and my kids.  This game is bright, colorful, and lots of fun! My daughter and I loved it!
